Code of Conduct

Adherence to Rules and Regulations

Students must comply with all college regulations related to attendance, library usage, college fees, examinations, and tests. Regular attendance is mandatory, and students are expected to be punctual for all classes and examinations. Library resources must be used responsibly, and students are encouraged to maintain silence and order in the library premises to create a conducive environment for study.

Prohibition of Smoking and Maintaining Cleanliness

Smoking is strictly prohibited within the college campus and hostel premises. Students found smoking will face disciplinary action. To maintain the cleanliness and aesthetic of the campus, students must refrain from writing on walls or littering classrooms and verandas with paper, ink, or any other materials. It is the collective responsibility of all students to keep the campus environment neat and tidy.

Courteous and Respectful Behaviors

Students are expected to exhibit courtesy and respectful behavior at all times, especially towards professors, staff, and elders. This includes using polite language. When a lecturer or staff member enters the classroom, all students must stand as a sign of respect until the lecturer invites them to sit or takes a seat. Similarly, when a lecturer leaves the room, students should stand until the lecturer has exited.

Handling College Property

Students must treat college property and furniture with care and respect. Deliberate damage or negligence resulting in damage will necessitate compensation by the responsible student(s). Acts such as stealing college property or the belongings of others are considered severe offenses. Such behavior will result in immediate disciplinary action, which may include suspension or expulsion. Students are responsible for turning off lights and fans when classrooms are not in use to conserve energy and reduce waste

Conflict Resolution and Grievance Handling

Any disputes or misunderstandings among students, staff, or management must be resolved through peaceful means. Students are encouraged to engage in open dialogue and to seek guidance from relevant staff members for conflict resolution. Any requests, petitions, appeals, or complaints should be addressed through proper channels, starting with the concerned staff members. Directly approaching higher authorities without following the protocol may result in the petition being rejected or delayed.

Conduct During Class Hours

During class hours, students must avoid standing or walking along the verandas, as this can cause disturbances to ongoing classes. Movement in and out of classrooms should be minimized and only allowed during breaks. In the classroom, strict silence must be maintained during lectures. Students should focus on the lessons and refrain from any behavior that might distract others or disrupt the class.

Permission for Leaving Class

No student is permitted to leave the classroom during a lecture without the lecturer’s permission. Students must raise their hands and seek approval if they need to step out for any reason. Likewise, students should not call others out of the class without explicit permission from the lecturer or staff. Such disruptions can impact the learning environment and will be addressed if necessary.

Organized Social and Cultural Events

Any social or cultural events, whether organized on or off campus, require prior approval from the Principal. Such events must be conducted under the supervision of staffs to ensure compliance with institutional rules and the safety of participants. Events organized without permission will not be endorsed by the college, and students involved may face disciplinary action.

Prohibition on Taking Damaged Apparatus

Students are not allowed to remove or take home any damaged or broken apparatus from the college premises, even if the item appears to be discarded. Any removal of college property without proper authorization will be considered theft and will be subject to disciplinary measures.

Parking Regulations

Both lecturers and students must park bicycles, scooters, or other vehicles only in the designated parking areas. Vehicles parked outside these areas or in unauthorized spots on campus may be removed, and the owner will be held accountable for violating campus regulations.
